Purpose of data processing

Personal data is processed in order to provide the functions of the app (including information and booking of travel offers), to process bookings properly and to ensure the security of the system.

The data is used exclusively for the purpose of processing journey orders and the statistical evaluation of the Harburg district bus service. The data is neither sold to third parties nor marketed in any other way.

What data is collected?

The booking is personalised. The personal data requested is stored in the system for this purpose. The time of the last registration is also saved.

The processing staff can view the following data:

• First name, surname
• E-mail address
• Telephone number
• last registration

Passenger access to the system can be blocked at any time by the booking centre. The passenger will be notified of the blocking via a message at the next login. Re-registration is then only possible after contacting the booking centre by telephone.

In addition, when downloading the „hvv hop Elbe-Heide“ passenger app, certain required information is transmitted to the app store selected by the user (e.g. Google Play or Apple App Store). The user name, the email address specified in the respective app store, the time of the download and the individual device identification number may be processed. This data is processed exclusively by the respective app store and is beyond our control.

Storage duration

We only store personal data for as long as is necessary for the provision of the app and the fulfilment of the respective purposes or for as long as there are statutory retention obligations.

Registration data will be deleted if the access is not used for more than 3 months.

Booking data will be anonymised after 3 months following completion of the journey and invoicing, unless there is a legal obligation to retain them.

Billing-relevant data will be stored for the prescribed period in accordance with the legal requirements (e.g. tax retention obligations).

Protocol data to ensure system integrity are stored for a maximum of 12 months.“

Rights of data subjects

You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. You can also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
