What you bring with you
- You have the Abitur or a secondary school leaving certificate.
- You have organisational skills.
- Flexibility is important, as in this profession you sometimes have to switch quickly between different tasks.
- Customer and service orientation is necessary in order to respond appropriately to customer concerns.
- Diligence and the ability to express yourself verbally and in writing are very important for writing business letters and working at the customer reception desk.
- A good knowledge of German is important for correspondence with customers and business partners.
- Knowledge of maths is required for creating invoices and bookkeeping.
- Initial computer skills make it easier to work with text and spreadsheet processing tools.

Questions and answers about training
As an office management assistant, you are an all-rounder. You will take on organisational, commercial and administrative tasks. You will process correspondence, create invoices and prepare presentations. You will also be responsible for procuring office supplies and planning and monitoring appointments. At meetings, you will be responsible for catering for participants/guests. In customer service, you will advise our passengers on timetables and fares.
A good secondary school leaving certificate, which you can also have obtained by attending a two-year vocational school for business, is advantageous. You should also have these strengths:
- You have a talent for organisation and are open-minded
- You work independently and in a structured manner
- You have a good command of written and spoken language
- You are flexible for varied tasks
- You are familiar with the common Office programmes on the computer
- You have a high level of concentration and enjoy working in a team

You should have good grades in German and an affinity for numbers
If you have already completed an apprenticeship or are performing very well at vocational school and in the company, you can apply to shorten the training period.

In order to communicate complex topics in a simple and understandable way, both on the phone and in face-to-face conversations, and to inform passengers about fares and the route network, it is crucial that you understand, speak and read German fluently.
