Easter egg hunt in our Stade buses: from 30.03.2026

We invite you to the big Easter egg hunt on our buses! From 30 March 2026, a total of 50 colourful Easter eggs will be hiding in some of our city and regional buses in Stade. Be sure to keep an eye out! The eggs can be hidden anywhere on the bus: under the seats, on the handrails or even on the doors. With a bit of luck, you might find one of the coveted eggs and win a great prize! Each egg contains a ticket for the Stade Lions Club charity lottery. The main prize is a gold bar worth around 10,000 euros. There is also an Edeka shopping voucher worth EUR 2,400 and a EUR 1,000 travel voucher to be won. This year, the proceeds from the lottery will go to the „Flügelchen-Nester e. V.“ project. The Lions Club Stade is supporting the installation of a new mobile therapy/activity room and the purchase of a therapy bed. The campaign runs from 30 March 2026, so keep your eyes peeled when travelling by bus! With a bit of luck, you could find one of the hidden Easter eggs and support a charitable project at the same time. The winning tickets will be drawn as part of the Stade Old Town Festival on Saturday, 20 June 2026 at 12 noon at the Pferdemarkt. Further information about the Charity 2026 of the Lions Club Stade can be found here. Conditions of participation

Together against violence - Together we set an example

This year, our Buxtehude-based company is supporting the „Orange Days 2025“ campaign organised by the Hanseatic city of Buxtehude. From 25 November to 10 December 2025, cities, organisations and companies around the world will be drawing attention to violence against women. We would also like to contribute to making this important issue more visible and sending out a clear signal. During this period, around 30 buses with the message „Stop violence against women“ will be travelling on our route network. We are also publicising the campaign on passenger television. In this way, we reach many people every day on their way to work, school or during their leisure time - and remind them that violence is never acceptable. As a transport company, we bear responsibility for the safety of our passengers and our employees. This also includes drawing attention to social grievances and supporting those affected. Violence often takes place in secret, which is precisely why it is important to talk about it publicly and take a stand. Together with the Hanseatic City of Buxtehude and many other partners, we are sending out a clear signal: Violence against women must have no place in our society. The Orange Days in Buxtehude are organised by the Equal Opportunities Office of the Hanseatic City of Buxtehude, SOFIA shelters for women in Buxtehude and the StoP © project Buxtehude together with various alliance partners.

One hand holds a prepaid card from hvv on the bus

hvv Prepaid Card | Ticket purchase now also possible with us!

The new hvv Prepaid Card in Hamburg offers the option of cashless ticket purchases. Now this is also possible on our buses. In addition to the popular ticket purchase via app, a further cashless sales channel is now offered. In contrast to the buses in Hamburg, however, the option of buying tickets in cash will remain available until further notice despite the introduction of sales via prepaid cards. This allows maximum flexibility for passengers. The hvv Prepaid Card offers the advantage of being able to travel flexibly, cashlessly and without registration through the hvv. Important: the card itself is not available from the bus driver, but from numerous retail co-operation partners. There, the card can be topped up with any amount and later recharged. Further information on the hvv Prepaid Card and its points of sale can be found on the hvv website here.

First electric buses: a big step towards the mobility of the future

We were delighted to present our first four electric buses in the district of Stade. We were able to present the new environmentally friendly vehicles at a press event together with representatives from politics, business and our company. The presentation was attended by Michael Fastert and Jan Behrendt from our management team as well as District Administrator Kai Seefried and District Councillor Thorsten Heinze. Other guests included Kai-Ulrich Baak and Inken Montzka from the district of Stade, Ottmar Heinen and Dr Rainer Gärtner from eMIS and Karsten Leist from Verkehrsgesellschaft Nord-Ost-Niedersachsen mbH (VNO). Clean mobility for all With the new and eye-catching electric buses, we are not only focussing on environmentally friendly technology, but are also actively contributing to improving the quality of life in our region. The buses will be used throughout the district of Stade and are therefore a visible sign of the change in mobility. This is made possible by federal funding from the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport's (BMDV) programme to promote alternative drive systems in passenger transport and with financial support from the district of Stade. The project is being subsidised as part of the Special Climate and Transformation Fund (KTF). Funding for this measure is also provided as part of the German Recovery and Resilience Plan (DARP) via the European Recovery and Resilience Facilities (ARF) in the NextGenerationEU programme. The funding guideline is coordinated by NOW GmbH and implemented by Project Management Jülich (PtJ). The new electric buses: sustainable and innovative The four new electric buses are from the IVECO brand and belong to the E-Way model. This model stands for the highest environmental standards and state-of-the-art electromobility. Range: With a range of up to 300 kilometres per charge, the buses are ideally suited for daily scheduled services. Capacity: They offer space for up to 70 passengers and ensure a pleasant journey with their low-noise drive. Sustainability: CO₂ emissions are reduced to zero thanks to the purely electric drive - a decisive step towards climate-friendly mobility in the district of Stade.
