The new Bus route 4000 of regional importance — the Heidschnucke. It connects Winsen – Salzhausen – Tostedt and runs hourly every day.
What will change for you?
- The line runs continuously between Winsen and Tostedt — an east-west connection in the district.
- A total of 24 locations will be served, including many heathland villages that have had little or no connection to date.
- Some places will have regular bus services connecting to railway stations for the first time — e.g. Schätzendorf, Undeloh, Handeloh, Welle.
- In Salzhausen, there is a connection to line 5200 towards Lüneburg.
- In Egestorf, you can change to line 4207 to Buchholz.
- The Heidschnucke thus offers tourists and visitors to the heathland region a comfortable bus alternative to the car.
Your benefits
- The Heidschnucke travels at the hvv fare. Best of all, the Deutschlandticket is also valid.
- You can now travel between many locations and stations more quickly and easily.
- The connection is reliable: daily and hourly.
- Even small towns are finally getting good transport links — ideal for commuters, leisure activities or day trips.
- For holidays or leisure time in the heath: accessible without a car, by bus and train.
