From 2 February 2026, hvv hop Elbe-Heide will supplement local public transport in the joint municipality of Salzhausen. The new on-demand service allows you to travel on demand - without a fixed timetable and precisely when no suitable bus connection is available.
Let the hvv hop shuttle pick you up and drop you off. It will take you at the regular hvv fare, without any comfort surcharge. All you need is the hvv hop Elbe-Heide app and a valid hvv ticket or Deutschlandticket (here go to our D-Ticketshop).
On the way, other passengers with a similar destination may board the bus: This reduces the burden on roads and the environment.

hvv hop Elbe-Heide travels in the joint municipality of Salzhausen.
hvv hop Elbe-Heide runs from Monday to Thursday from 5 am to 11 pm. On Fridays and on the days before a public holiday even until 2 am. On Saturdays, the operating times are from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m., on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
You can book your hvv hop shuttle via the hvv hop Elbe-Heide app - you will receive this soon in the App- or Google Play-Store.
No pre-booking period is required. You will be informed of your departure time from your starting point and the arrival time at your destination when you make your booking enquiry. You can then decide whether you want to start the journey or not. Need to be on time for your train? Simply enter your desired arrival time in the app instead of your departure time.
Do you need a flexible transport option more often? No problem. You can book your journey up to 21 days in advance.
