- After successfully completing your training as a motor vehicle mechatronics technician (m/f/d), you will have the opportunity to gain further qualifications:
- Further training to become a master craftsman
- Further training as an automotive service consultant
- Weiterbildung zum/zur staatlich geprüften Techniker/in (Fachrichtung Elektromobilität, Karosserie- und Fahrzeugbautechnik, Kraftfahrzeugtechnik oder Maschinentechnik))
- Study, e.g. mechanical engineering

Questions and answers about training
Als KFZ-Mechatroniker mit Schwerpunkt Nutzfahrzeugtechnik hältst du Nutzfahrzeuge aller Art instand. Dazu gehören neben Bussen auch LKWs, Unimogs und Baufahrzeuge.
Du erkennst und behebst Probleme und Schäden an unseren Fahrzeugen durch modernste Prüf- und Messmethoden. Du stellst eine Diagnose und findest eine Lösung für das Problem. Neben der Reparatur überprüfst du die Kühl- und Schmierflüssigkeiten und tauschst sie wenn nötig aus. Regelmäßig führst du Wartungsarbeiten durch, um unsere Fahrzeuge in gutem Zustand zu halten.
Neben einem Realschul- oder gutem Hauptschulabschluss solltest du diese Interessen und Fähigkeiten haben:
- Du bist handwerklich geschickt und interessierst dich für Fahrzeugtechnik
- Du hast technisches Verständnis
- Du arbeitest genau und sorgfältig und hast Verantwortungsbewusstsein
- Der Umgang mit sicherheitsrelevanten Bauteilen erfordert Verantwortungsbewusstsein.
- Du hast Spaß an Mathematik und Physik
Gute Noten in Mathematik und Physik sowie handwerkliches Geschick erleichtern dir die Ausbildung.
Die Ausbildung dauert 3,5 Jahre.

If you have already completed an apprenticeship or are performing very well at vocational school and in the company, you can apply to shorten the training period.
Once you have successfully completed your apprenticeship, all doors are open to you. If you wish, you will have the opportunity to gain further qualifications.
Deutschkenntnisse auf dem Niveau B2 sind von Vorteil. Du musst verstehen, was jemand von dir will und in der Lage sein, deinen Kolleginnen und Kollegen Sachverhalte zu erklären.
